Does microneedling still work? Whether we are using SkinPen or RF microneedling with Morpheus8 it is best to shave your beard entirely. Even leaving stubble can interfere with the treatment.    Close --- What if I've been on Acutane recently? Please talk with your physician before seeking other treatments for your active acne. You'll typically want to be off Acutane for at least six months before you begin another treatment. Close --- Are these treatments painful? We try to minimize your discomfort with all of our treatments. Chemical peels can have an uncomfortable sensation for a short period of time (two to five minutes) but we wouldn't call it painful. Microneedling can be more uncomfortable than a peel which is why we use a topical numbing agent before the treatment.  Close --- Can you help my teenager with their acne? Most people can safely use radiofrequency microneedling to treat acne but we should sit down face to face for a consultation first to determine if it is a proper treatment for you. Close --- Can radiofrequency microneedling cause breakouts? Since the procedure involves penetrating the skin, it temporarily disturbs both the surface and the deeper layers. This disturbance, though essential for rejuvenating the skin, can occasionally trigger reactions such as breakouts. This is often a temporary side effect.
