How Much Does a Chemical Peel Cost in Austin? Prices, Packages & What You're Paying For

One Austin skin clinic advertises a chemical peel for $120. Another offers a VI Peel for $350. Both may be perfectly reasonable prices—but they aren't necessarily prices for comparable treatments.

If you're shopping for a chemical peel in Austin, expect to find publicly advertised standalone options from around $120 to $350 among the providers we reviewed. The more useful question is what that price buys, whether the treatment fits your skin concern, and what the total plan might cost.

Here's a practical look at real local prices, including Flycatcher's, without the sales pitch or the misleading idea that every man needs a package.

What do chemical peels cost in Austin?

We reviewed publicly available menus from seven independent Austin-area providers plus Flycatcher on October 21, 2026. The following examples are not a scientific market survey, and the treatments aren't standardized. They are actual advertised options that show how much variety can hide behind two words: chemical peel.

Austin-area provider Advertised treatment Listed price
Shine Skincare Studio Customized chemical peel $120
Bene Skin & Laser Level 1–3 peels; Level 0 enzyme treatment also offered $175–$220 for listed Level 2–3; enzyme treatment $135
Bisous Esthetics Peptide Perfection Peel $149
Banyan & Bamboo Glow & Go Peel $149
Austin Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery Jessner Peel / TCA Peel $150 / $300
Viva Day Spa + Med Spa VI Peel $350
Austin Plastic Surgeon VI Chemical Peel $350
Flycatcher Signature Acne or Anti-Aging Peel $189

Price research conducted October 21, 2026, using the providers' public websites; Flycatcher prices are from its current Treatment Menu. Pricing and availability may change. This table does not evaluate or rank provider quality. Bene's $135 Level 0 enzyme treatment is not presented as equivalent to an acid chemical peel. Prices do not necessarily include consultations or optional extras; ask each provider.

There is no honest single “average Austin price” that captures this mix. Even within one practice, a light maintenance-oriented peel and a more intensive formulation can sit on very different parts of the menu.

Why do chemical-peel prices vary so much?

Peel depth and recovery

Light or superficial peels affect the skin's outermost layers and commonly target concerns such as rough texture or uneven tone. Medium-depth peels reach further into the skin and generally involve more recovery. Deep peels are substantially more intensive medical procedures with greater risks, recovery demands, and clinical requirements.[1]

Peel depth isn't determined by the ingredient name or concentration alone. Formulation, skin preparation, contact time, number of applications, and the patient's skin also matter. A treatment branded as a “medical peel” does not, by itself, tell you exactly how deeply it works.

What happens during the appointment

One menu price may cover an application of peel solution. Another may include a more extensive skin assessment, cleansing, extractions, multiple treatment steps, a mask, serums, sunscreen, or follow-up instructions. Some providers offer LED or other extras for an additional fee.

For example, Shine publishes $40 add-ons for LED and an oxygen treatment. Bisous lists a $329 combination service incorporating a peel, nano-needling, mask, and light therapy. Neither should be compared directly with a basic standalone peel.[2][3]

Where the treatment is applied—and who's providing it

Face, neck and body peels may be priced differently. More intensive procedures may call for a different treatment setting and qualified medical supervision. Ask who selects the protocol, who performs the treatment, and how an unexpected skin reaction would be handled. Those are better comparison questions than simply asking which provider has the lowest rate.

How much do chemical peels cost at Flycatcher?

Flycatcher offers treatments designed around skin concerns rather than a one-size-fits-all peel. Our published prices are:

Treatment One Four Six
Signature Acne Peel $189 $649 $959
Signature Anti-Aging Peel $189 $649 $959
Signature Acne Peel for Teens $169 — $859

A chemical peel may also be added to an eligible facial for $75. That add-on is not the same purchase as a standalone Signature Peel.

What happens during a Signature Acne Peel?

Our Signature Acne Peel follows a multistep treatment protocol that includes:

  • Cleansing: Preparing the skin and removing surface impurities.
  • Extractions: Clearing appropriate clogged pores when needed.
  • Pre-peel preparation: Preparing the skin for application of the peel solution.
  • Glycolic-acid peel: Applying the exfoliating solution according to the selected protocol.
  • Acne-focused serum: Applying a targeted skin-care formulation.
  • Optional salicylic acid: Used when appropriate for the client's skin and treatment goals.
  • Clay mask: Completing the treatment with a mask.
  • Finishing products: Applying appropriate skin-care products following the peel.

The exact treatment may be adjusted based on your skin's condition and response.

The number that matters: total treatment-plan cost

A single-session price is useful for budgeting. But if your concern calls for multiple visits, the more relevant comparison is the estimated total. Here are straightforward examples using Flycatcher's current prices:

Pricing illustration Total
One adult Signature Peel $189
Three individually purchased adult Signature Peels $567
Four-peel adult series $649
Six-peel adult series $959
Gentleman's Essential Facial + peel add-on, one visit $204
Three such facial/add-on appointments purchased separately $612

These are pricing illustrations, not a recommended number or schedule of treatments. Actual candidacy, frequency, and treatment selection require an individual assessment.

Does every man need a series of chemical peels?

No. If you're interested in general maintenance or simply want to learn how your skin responds, an individual treatment may be a reasonable starting point. Some concerns may benefit from a thoughtfully planned series, while others call for a completely different approach.

The decision depends on your skin concern, peel formulation, strength, previous treatments, current skin condition, response, goals, and the downtime you're comfortable with. More treatments do not automatically mean better value.

One caution: a peel isn't necessarily a no-downtime appointment. Redness, dryness, flaking, or visible peeling may occur, and the recovery varies with the treatment. Chemical peels also carry risks that include pigmentation changes and, less commonly, scarring; those considerations can be particularly important for men prone to post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation.[1] If you have an upcoming wedding, conference, vacation, or outdoor event, tell your provider before scheduling.

Why your skin concern changes the cost equation

A man dealing with occasional clogged pores isn't necessarily shopping for the same treatment as someone bothered by years of sun spots. A peel may be considered for rough texture, certain acne concerns, or uneven tone. But it isn't a substitute for the more involved management of persistent acne or deeper acne scarring.

For acne, read our guide to chemical peels for men with acne. For lingering pitted scars, start with the treatment options for acne scars. And for discoloration, our guide to hyperpigmentation in men explains why the source of the pigment matters.

In other words, the cheapest procedure isn't good value if it isn't likely to address what bothers you.

Should you spend the money on a peel—or a different treatment?

A facial, chemical peel, SkinPen microneedling, Morpheus8 RF microneedling, and IPL aren't interchangeable purchases.

A facial may be a practical option for routine cleansing, extractions, and skin maintenance. A peel may make sense for certain surface-level concerns. SkinPen microneedling and Morpheus8 work differently and may be considered for particular texture or scarring concerns. IPL photofacials address selected pigmentation and vascular concerns that a peel may not treat in the same way.

The American Society of Plastic Surgeons specifically notes that chemical peels do not remove deep scars, substantially tighten loose skin, or eliminate deep facial wrinkles.[1] That's a good reminder not to judge value by the advertised cost of one appointment alone.

So, what's a fair price for a chemical peel in Austin?

Our review found individual advertised options from $120 to $350, but that range only gets you started.

What counts as fair depends on the type of peel, its intensity, what's included in the appointment, the provider's qualifications, and whether the treatment is appropriate for your goals.

The lowest advertised price isn't necessarily the best value. Neither is the most expensive treatment.

The right investment is one that makes sense for your skin, your expectations, and your budget.
